Scout Organisation
- The World Scout Organisation (WSO) is located in
Geneva, Switzerland, and provides coordination to National Scouting organisations
worldwide. There are currently more than 25 millions youth and adult members of
scouting organisations in 216 countries world wide.

- This is the official site of the National Council
of the Boy Scouts of America. Here,
you can find information about all of the scouting programs, the name and
address of your local council, and a vast array of other information regarding
camping, child safety and the like.

- The mission of Scouts Canada is to contribute to
the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and
spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local,

- This is the official website of the Scout
Association of the United Kingdom. On this page, you can find out information about
Scouting in the country that started it all! There is also a link to the Scout
Association of the UK Scout Shop where materials may be purchased online.
- Pfadfinder
und Pfadfinderinnen Österreichs
- This is the official web site for the Boy Scouts
and Girl Guides of Austria. In Austria, the Boy Scouts are joined with the Girl
Guides in a single organisation. While there are scout groups in Austria that have
only male or female members, the majority of the groups are mixed with both Boy Scouts and
Girl Guides. There is also link to Austria's Scout Shop, which is online!

- This is the official web site for the Boy
Scouts and Girl Guides of Switzerland. As in a growing number of countries, Scouting
in Switzerland is co-educational. The page can be read in English, German, French or
Italian. There is also a link to the Swiss Scout Shop, but that site is only
presented in German.

- Cradle of Liberty Council, BSA
- The Cradle of Liberty Council serves the Scouting
needs of Delaware,
Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties in Pennsylvania. The council was formed
in 1996 through the merger of the Philadelphia and Valley Forge Councils. Troop 461 is a
part of the Cradle of Liberty Council.
Bucks
County Council, BSA
- The Bucks County Council serves the Scouting needs
of Bucks County,
Pennsylvania, and is one of the neighbouring councils to the Cradle of Liberty
Council. Its headquarters are located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

General Nash District, BSA
- The General Nash District of the Cradle of Liberty
Council of the Boy Scouts of America and serves the Scouting needs of the boys of the North Penn and Souderton School Districts. Troop 461 belongs to the General Nash
District.

- This is the web site for the Vienna area Boy Scouts
and Girl Guides. From this site, you can find any of the many scout groups organised
in the Vienna metropolitan area.

Scout Camps and
Reservations

Haliburton Scout Reserve
- Located 250 kilometers (150 miles) north
of Toronto, Canada, Haliburton Scout Reserve consists of 5000 acres, almost all of which
is richly forested, and has 10 sparkling lakes providing wilderness homes for many
animals, birds and fish. Centred around Lake Kennabi, Haliburton Scout Reserve offers 23
campsites which are accessible only by water, and are surrounded by a world of breath
taking scenery. The Reserve has been developed to provide Scouts with the most enjoyable
camping experience possible. Haliburton invites campers of all skill levels, from the
novice to the experienced woodsman. Haliburton has been Canada's largest scout
summer camp since 1947. Troop 461 has visited Haliburton on a regular basis since
1962 and highly recommends it!

- Kandersteg
International Scout Centre
- Kandersteg International Scout Centre is the only
world centre of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The Centre
began in 1923 with Lord Robert Baden-Powell, who, after the first World Scout Jamboree had
a dream about a place where all Scouts from all over the world could meet. The
Centre is open to Scouts all year round, as well as to non-Scouts for most of the year.
- Musser Scout Reservation
- Musser Scout Reservation includes Camp Delmont and
Camp Hart and is located among over
1,400 acres located in the rolling hills of Green Lane, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania..
This reservation is nestled around the serenity of the Unami Creek. Camps Delmont and Hart
offer a variety of camping and scouting experiences for all levels of scouting from Tiger
Cubs through Explorers.

- Ockanickon Scout Reservation
- Ockanickon Scout Reservation is located near Point
Pleasant in upper Bucks County. The weeded camp is on hills bounded by Tohickon Creek and
adjacent to Ralph Stover State Park. Lake Chinquilipa offers the boys fishing and boating.
Aquatics programs use the swimming pool and bath house. Trails lead to a dozen campsites
with shelters and tent platforms used during Summer Camp. Each site has its own toilet
facilities known as "latrines".
- Resica Falls Scout Reservation
- Resica Falls Scout Reservation is located on 4,000 acres on prime Pennsylvania
Pocono mountains. Resica Falls offers a wide array of camping programs. Scouts and
leaders will find places to explore, boats and canoes to sail, pools and streams to swim
and miles of trails to hike. Resica Falls is currently has three major camps
running, Big Springs Camp, Firestone Camp, and Fawn Run Camp. Troop 461's favourite
camp at Resica Falls, Great Bend Camp, was closed in 1980.

- Techuana
Jugendcamp
- Located approximately 300 kilometers
southwest of Vienna in the Austrian province of Carinthia,
Techuana is an
official Scout camp of the Austrian Scout Association - Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen
Österreichs. It is approximately 30,000 square meters in size and has a
capacity of 650 persons. The two official languages of the camp are German and
English. This is the camp where Troop 461 will be holding its joint summer camp with
Pfadfinder Gruppe 12 auf Wien in July of 2003.

- Treasure Island Scout Reservation
- Treasure Island is the oldest continually
operated Boy Scout Camp in the country, celebrating its 84th anniversary this year.
Treasure Island Scout Reservation is naturally divided into Marshall Island and Treasure
Island by the picturesque Delaware River near Pipersville, PA. Treasure Island combines
some of the best facilities available with the adventure of "living on an
island."

- Pack 91 - Harleysville, Montgomery County,
Pennsylvania
- Pack 91 meets at Oak Ridge Elementary School in
Harleysville, Pennsylvania,
usually on the third Friday of the month, and is sponsored by the Harleysville
Lions Club
- Cub Pack 397 - Lansdale, Montgomery County,
Pennsylvania
- Cub Pack 397 is sponsored by the Christ United
Methodist Church, 1020 Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Pack meetings are
held on the third Friday of the month at Christ United Methodist Church from 7:30 pm. to
9:00 p.m. (Unfortunately, this site has gone inactive).
Other Scouting
Units
- Crossroads
of America Scout Band
- The Crossroads of America Scout Band was chartered
in1917 and became a Boy Scout troop-nearing its 83rd year of existence. The band is
now a Venture Crew and has a number of semi-professional musicians as assistant advisors.
The Crossroads of America Scout Band has performed for a number if dignitaries,
including several Presidents of the United States and Queen Elizabeth II of Great
Britain!
The band also plays annually at the Indianapolis 500 automobile race. Check
them out!

- Pfadfindergruppe
Wien 12 "Erzherzog Johann"
- Scout group 12 of Vienna, Austria, was our host
unit during the Troop's July-August 2000 visit to Vienna prior to attending "Vienna
2000." They have since become our "sister" scout unit in Austria.
Like other Austrian Scout units, Gruppe 12 is both co-educational and includes all
age groups from young Wölflinge, which are the equivalent of our Cub Scouts, to Rangers
and Rovers, which are the equivalent of our Explorers and Venturers. Gruppe 12 is
just launching their web site so this is a work in progress. Unfortunately, at
present the site is entirely in German but an English version is coming soon!

- Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen Gruppe 32 Pax Hill
- The Boy Scout and Girl Guide Group 32 is located in
the southeastern portion of Vienna, Austria and consists of over 130 members from 7 year
old cub scouts to 20 year old Rovers and leaders. Our troop was paired with
Caravelles and Explorers from Gruppe 32 at the Vienna 2000 international scout camp to
form our jamboree troop.

Lodge No. 1 - Order of the Arrow

- The Order of the Arrow is an Honourary Scout
Campers' Society that was founded in 1915 at Treasure Island Scout Camp in what was then
the Philadelphia Council, now part of the Cradle of Liberty Council. Unami Lodge has
the distinction of being Order of the Arrow Lodge Number 1. At this site you will
find information regarding the current activities of the Unami Lodge.

- The National Eagle Scout Association is a fellowship
of men who have attained the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America.
- Wood
Badge Home Page
- The Wood Badge is named in honour of the wooden
beads that Lord Baden-Powell awarded to the participants of the first Scoutmaster training
encampment held at Gilwell Park in 1919. At the end of that first encampment,
Baden-Powell gave each participant a wooden bead from the necklace of a Zulu
chieftain,
signifying their completion of Scouter training. The Boy Scouts of America has
continued Baden-Powel's tradition in the form of its Wood Badge Course, the advanced
Scouter training course.
